Responsibilities
- Placing IVs routinely in a fast-paced surgical environment, understanding anesthesia drug interactions, maintaining drug cart and inventory, and knowledge of state bylaws when working with anesthesia and sedating patients.
- Complete and clear documentation of patient medical history (including most recent physical results), current prescriptions/medications taken by patient, treatment done, and future treatment needed; documentation of any conversations between Doctor and patient; clear communication with Doctor while following HIPAA guidelines.
- Creates a safe, sterile, and pleasant environment for patients and team members while following CDC and OSHA guidelines.
- Help ensure an effective, efficient, and profitable operation by maintaining equipment, utilizing supplies cost-effectively, and tracking/ordering inventory as needed; experience with executing emergency protocol, maintenance of emergency equipment (AED, drugs).
- Promotes professionalism and leadership skills with strong verbal and written communications when interacting with patients and team members, as well as in clothing and appearance.
Requirements
- Paramedic or a Degree in Nursing
- IV Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification
- CPR Certification
- 1 Year of Paramedic or Nursing Experience
- Knowledge of heart/CO2 monitors, sterilization
